About this EXPO:
POST-SQUAT NL: A research a design course focusing on alternatives in
habitation in light of the illegalization of squatting in the Netherlands.
This topic touches on vacancy, temporary use and reuse, bottom up
hierarchy, public and private realms, the post-bubble economy, and the
future of the role of the architect. The course is taught by Lecturer David
Eugin Moon from the University of Michigan and N H D M in collaboration
with Klaas Kresse of sprikk, an architecture and urban planning firm in
Rotterdam. The course receives support from the International Institute's
Experiential Learning Fund and the Werkhotel at Schieblock.
